A vertical sump pump is a type of centrifugal pump with a vertical shaft that allows the pumping mechanism to be submerged in a pit or tank while the drive motor remains dry and accessible above the liquid level. This design makes it ideal for dewatering basements, managing wastewater, and handling industrial slurries in limited floor spaces.
