
A horizontal split case pump operates on the centrifugal force principle, converting mechanical energy into fluid kinetic energy and then into pressure energy. Fluid enters the pump, is accelerated by a rotating impeller, and is then channeled into a volute casing where the energy conversion to pressure occurs before discharge.
